My father-in-law is new to glocks and just got a 37 in .45 GAP. He shot it first time today at 15 yards and was almost 6-8 inches low and had to aim seriously high to hit the targets. Any help or suggestions? My G19 has always been dead on.
Thanks. |

El Snatcho! 100 Ball and Dummy and 100 front sight / casing drills and you should start to see a vast improvement. Then start at 7yds and work your way back to 25 with the goal of keeping all of your shots in the black, on a standard B8.
It shouldn't need to be said but, dry fire, dry fire and more DRY FIRE. It's not the arrow... |

Quoted:
Behind his back load a snap cap in a mag 3-4 rounds in... hand it to him and watch him closely... when he gets to the snap cap you'll be able to see what he's doing wrong.... more than likely compensating for the shot and pointing the muzzle down! - Clint This. |

When I first started shooting I was shooting way low. A guy did the same thing to me. Slammed an empty mag into my gun and told me it was hot. First thing I done was pull down when I anticipated the shot. Also, make sure he don't have the trigger in the fold of his first joint. Should be closer to the tip. |

Is he used to shooting a 1911 or something with a different grip angle? Has anyone else fired it? When I went Glock it took me a little bit to get used to it. Almost everyone I see who comes to the Glock from another platform shoots low at first. He's just got to focus on fundementals and using the sights. |
