| As the title says I'm looking for a solid replacement for the plastic factory sights. This particular 19 is my carry pistol. Not a big fan of the sights being plastic and I wouldn't mind the sights being a little taller. Any reccomendations or should I just stick with the sights as is. |
| Glockmeister sells factory Glock steel sights. they sell them individually if you just want the front sight. It installs with the same socket wrench as most aftermarket front Glock sights. I have a few sets of them and they are great and not expensive. But realistically I have never had a factory Glock polymer sight fail. |

Heinie, Ameriglo I dot pro, Trijicon HD I got to take a look at these at the last class I was at, and they did look pretty good. I didn't get to use them though. They seem to take to good things about Big Dots, and keeps it in a traditional tangent style sight. |

I am really liking the Claw EMS and Ameriglo sights. Very reasonably priced as well.

I have standard Trijicons on four of them. The fifth one has a steel factory rear now, and I'm waiting on a backordered steel factory front from Glockmeister.
Not big on the plastic sights. Never had a problem, but I just don't trust them. Anyone who has tapped a plastic sight out of its dovetail when installing steel sights knows just how easily that plastic sight slid right out. |

After rocking factory night sights for years I recently picked up an excellent condition police trade-in G19.
It's pristine other than the night sights are all but dead. After looking around at available options, I believe I am going to give the Ameriglo CAP Orange front sight a run in conjunction with their Pro-Operator Rear. Ameriglo has some very nice options available for the Glock including the CAP, Hackathorn sights, I-Dot, and more. |

Didn't read all the responses. I've found the best bang for the buck, for me, is the Ameriglow Defoor sights. Steel, all black, good size rear notch and front sight width, and affordable at approximately $35.
ETA: Change the sights, the stock sights suck, the front post is too wide for the rear notch. Heinie Slant Pros or Straight Eights are also good, as are Trijicon night sights. I've used all three and they are all much better than the stock sights. |
