I'm a 1911 guy and this trigger is very close to the 1911 feel. Not exactly the same but close and totally different feel than stock. Mine has about 3/16" take up, clean trigger break, and firm reset. Not as crisp/smooth/easy as a 1911 but a HUGE improvement vs the stock trigger. Downside is $160.00 is alot for a trigger. IMHO if you like the 1911 trigger and you have the $$$ this is a great trigger.

There is a great thread on LF discussing the Skimmer. Travis even chimes in.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is "LF"?

Thanks. I'm a member on there, I'll see if I can find it.

There were some rumblings in the LF thread that the trigger disables internal safeties.

I know I wouldn't be comfortable carrying most 1911s with no manual safety, thus I have 0 interest in this trigger.

i have a skimmer trigger in a 3rd gen g19.  it is very smooth, has a slightly shorter take up than a stock trigger, a crisp break, and all safeties function perfectly. it is costly for a trigger, but i like mine so much that i will be ordering one for my g21 when jeff gets those back in stock.  if you can afford it, you won't regret the purchase.
