Anybody have one, like one?
Any reviews? How's the grip size, recoil, accuracy, etc? |

Anybody have one, like one? Any reviews? How's the grip size, recoil, accuracy, etc? Accuracy = Fantastic Recoil = Less than a 1911 Grip Size = Varies... The full size is just right for me. The SF might be better for others. The Gen 4 is both in one gun. Get a Gen4. |

I have a Gen 3 full size. I have bigger hands so it fits me like a glove. It's a dream to shoot, even my wife liked shooting it. I haven't carried it yet, I think I will now that the weather is cooler. I just need to get me a kydex piece for my MTAC and some night sights and I'll be good to go.
I would go with a Gen 4 from what I've heard. Great gun, great shooter too. |

Had one of the first production models. Accuracy was great, as was relative lack of recoil. I tried and tried and tried, but, as with the Glock 19, I couldn't make the short grip work for me. I now stick to full-sized guns. With the 10 round mag, it has a decent grip. Why Glock made the pistol with the short grip and 9 round mags at first, I don't fully understand. Sure it's in-elegant with the base plate on that 10 rounder, but to me it's just part of the gun. Does make reloads faster. |

I put the nine rounder in when I carry in the summer to keep from printing. Oddly enough, I can only get eight rounds in the thing. |

Easily the best glock I have out of the 9 I have owned. Still have 7. Mine is a gen 2.5 with a non-lci extractor. Oddly enough the full size 21 was too big but the 30 is perfect, especially with the Pearce grip extenders. Hold both and decide. You ain't gonna see mine for sale. |

Only Glock I've ever sold. Kind of wish I still had it, but not too much.
In my opinion where they screwed up was making it a standard 9 round gun with 10 round mags with the pinky extension. They should have made it standard 10 rounds with flat base plates and made the grip longer. I have average size hands and having to "fly" my pinky off the grip to reload was a loser for me. Very accurate, 100% reliable, very moderate recoil. Nice gun overall. ETA, just remembered, that's my old G30 in my avatar.

Awesome gun. Carries like a G19 but if you are a 45ACP lover like myself it fits the bill nicely. I need a 10mm barrel for mine Recoil is less than a 1911. They are extremely accurate. G30SF is much easier for me to hold comfortably than my G21SF. +1 Also went with the SF model... I held both, both fit well, but no test fire around here... so I went with the SF model as my only reference is my 20SF. |

Quoted: Anybody shoot reloads out of theirs? Is lead through a glock still a no-no? I shoot exclusively reloads. They are copper plated bullets. The really light ones I normally shoot do not eject very far. Kind of fall out of the gun and once in a while you get one in the face. Full power ammo is not a problem. This has never bothered me. |

SWCs are notoriously unreliable in .45 caliber Glocks.
There are at least three models of plastic .45 I'd take before another 21/30 (HK45/HK45c, USP45F, M&P45) because I've had poor results with both 21s I've had but of it had to be a .45 caliber Glock I'd have a 21 cut down to take G30 10rd mags with 21 baseplates. Turns out you get a three fingered grip that way. |
