Are these a good platform? as a first gun?

I am kinda asking after the fact,

but for $440 TOTAL shipped and transferred for a Like new Glock 31 with 3 mags and 100 rds of ammo, I hope it was a good deal.

Any body have any info on how they perform compared to other rounds?

AND YES, I will also be buying Glock 9s 40s and 45s too in the future.

First off, if the gun is in good condition that's a steal of a deal.  Recoil may be a little stiff if its your first gun, but should be no problem if you learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting.  .357 Sig has excellent ballistics.  Check out tnoutdoors9 on youtube to get some representations of this round.

I found the G31 to be less snappy than the G22 but the blast seems greater... if that makes sense. I personally like the 357 Sig round and have hand-loaded thousands of rounds w/o issue.

You got a killer deal IMO.

The $440 for the 100 rounds of ammo sounds about right.   It was cool of them to throw in a free gun.

Seriously, the round is cool and it's sweet to shoot but too expensive for my taste since I'm not set up to reload it.

That's a good deal

I had a G32 before I consolidated calibers

Good deal, My first 357 sig was my 31 and it sold me hands down on the 357 sig cartridge. It is now by far my favorite. I don't re-load but I buy bulk 1000 rounds at a time on line and get excellent prices. I now also own a 32 and a 35 with a Bar-sto 357 barrel and a 24 with a Lone Wolf 357 barrel and it is my favorite. I even have a Lone Wolf 357 sig AR upper coming for my G9 lower and I can't wait to get that. Awsome cartridge and the 31 is an excellent pistol. Congrats on your good deal. I ordered mine new and it will NEVER see a different owner.
