To buy a Glock 34...

Or to just build glock 34 LWD slide for my Glock 17?

It will just be a fun gun, might shoot some competition with it some day but I work a lot now so...

Can we get a little more info than that? Uses?

With that said, I don't see what a slide from LWD would do that a 34 wouldn't (to me they seem tacky), + you would have another gun.
