Was looking at barrel porting by Glockworx, but don't know too much about what barrel porting advantages are. I was looking at their six angle port setup.

What do you want to know?  Why do you think you might be interested?  Why not just get a G19c???

Is there advantages to having a ported barrel and slide? Will is effect velocity? Any accuracy improvements? Will the barrel/slide cool down quicker? Pretty much any info. Why am I interested, well to be completely honest I think the Glockworx porting looks bada**.

You may notice a slight reduction in "muzzle flip" but any other effects are going to be negligible.  The G19 doesn't recoil much anyway, so I don't think you're going to get any real benefit out of it.

If you want it because it looks cool, then go right ahead.  Nothing wrong with buying stuff you think is cool.

I think I may do it eventually but I may buy a different pistol to do it too. Maybe a g30

As echofive said, you might notice a little difference in muzzle flip.  Can't even fathom why you'd think that the barrel and slide might "cool" quicker.  You having barrel and slide overheating problems??    You will lose a little velocity with a ported barrel/slide.  If you angle the pistol towards you, in the case of an emergency/attack, you can burn yourself and/or get a facefull of unwanted debris and very hot gasses.

For modifications to "look cool," here's a site with lots of good info: iwantstobejustlikepdiddy.com

No point in doing this other than if you think it looks "cool".

I own a 17c and a 17OD. I don't see a very noticeable difference in muzzle flip. I can feel the weight difference and increased noise when they are shot back to back.  I saw a Glock speck sheet that claimed bullets loose some velocity with the "C" models.
