Is the auto sear available for civ use if you get the tax stamp?

My friend is a BATF agent and he says he thinks they are avail for civ use.  Anyone know?

Cool thanks.  I believe it is legal in my state as I have seen an 18 in use, but I wasn't sure if the auto sear was legal for civvies.    The only one I'ev seen for sale on an auction was labled LEO only and was about $650.  I'll keep looking

Finding a pre-86 transferrable auto sear for a glock would probably fetch you more than 10 times that.

i HIGHLY doubt there is a sear made before 86 for a GLOCK. If there was it would probably run you 10k easy

There are several ways for one to own a G18, but this isn't about a G18 this is about one of them little sears to convert a glock. Notice in my answer i said IF he can find one thats transferable. Unless of course he wants to go the SOT route.........

There is always a way, if you want to go that way or not is the question.

Means you get a class 2 manufacturers license or get a FFL and pay the fees to be a class three dealer..
