What is a fair value?
I saw one at the gun show today and was unaware that they even made 17Ls back then.

Are you sure it wasn't a second gen? Although, I suppose one could through a 17L slide on a first gen frame...

GEN1 is 17/17L/18/and a very small amount of 19's.
I would expect a GEN1 17L to be in the $600+ range depending on condition and location.

Yes it was a gen 1, not 2. Matching serial numbers. Asking $600, in pretty good shape.
