Anyone have problems with extended slide stops on your glocks?  When I bought my G37 it came with one and when I was firing my thumb kept hitting it up and locking the slide to the rear or causing a malfuction.  At first I thought it was the gun and wasn't entirely pleased to say the least until I figured it out.   Anyone else?

I have an extended stop on my G34, which is standard on this model.  I don't have a problem accidentally hitting it, but I have heard of others who do.  You can either adjust your grip, or replace it with a regular slide stop, though I don't know if one is available for the G37.  Also, IIRC, the G37 has wider slide than the other Glocks, which is why they put the extended stop on there in the first place.

I have had the same issue with the "baby" Glocks, and do not run these on my Glocks at all because of it. If you "slingshot" the slide during a reload it works fine regardless...of course that is not the same thing as deliberately locking the slide back manually for a chamber check or a malfunction drill, etc. but I have had no problems with this either using the standard catch.

I had it replaced that day.  I read that you couldn't use a "standard" slide catch (I know I said stop earlier).  I took it back to where I bought it and they put a standard one on there and worked perfectly since then.  It looked like it fit a little to flush at first but no problems.  btw, I never use that to chamber any rounds.  +1 for the slingshot.
