My new rear sight slides back and forth, but not out of the rear groove. How can I fix it? I bought it with XS sights and it was problem free, but I changed it over to Ameriglo I-Dot pro's. Do I just need to JB Weld/Super Glue the hell out of it? Perhaps a set screw?

So if you are pointing the pistol the sight slides front and back or right and left? Most Glock sights are a press fit so if it is that loose make sure you have the right ones for your model. I used Loctite on my sights but they also have a set screw. Check the documentation that came with the sights and contact the manufacturer if that doesn't solve it.

Ameriglo has great customer service.  Call them.  They'll either replace your rear sight or suggest that you tighten up the set screw, if it has one.

Who installed the sights?  If it were you and you didn't have to file them then I say contact the manufacturer.  If a gunsmith did it check and make sure they didn't file them.

Hopefully they didn't file the slide, try locktite (blue) first and see if that helps.

Remove the rear sight and then turn it upside down on a bench.  Then hit the bottom of the sight with a sharp punch.  This will create a divot with a raised edge around it, like a mini volcano.    Then reinstall the sight.  The raised edge will press up on the sight and hold it in the dove tail slot.
