At what round count on a recoil spring would you experience malfunctions with a light attached on your old G23? I'm curious about the frequency that this was necessary. It was funny. I had a G23.3 that simply wouldn't run with a TLR1 attached to it. 4 or 5 failures to feed per mag. Take the light off....problem went away. Changed recoil spring, loosen light as light as I could, etc. Never made a difference. Had a different G23.3 that didn't care that it had a TLR1 on it. Drove me bananas. |

I work at the LGS, and the other day our Glock LE rep came through. I was discussing the problem with him. He said change the spring every 2500 rounds if you run a light or laser. I was well over that. We had the Gen 4 arrive that day. With my LE discount, trade in, and time worked I got it for $0.00 OTD so I couldn't pass it up. There is a thread a good ways back about the trouble I was having with FTE with the Gen3 w/ a light on it. It then started to affect the gun even without a light. I replaced the spring, but just feel more confident with it on duty like this. |

Were you using newer mags with 1 or 2 on the body and 8 or 9 on the follower? |
