I am in the market for a good appendix holster. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I would be using it for a G19, possibly a G17 |

I have tried a few and settled on the ArchAngel. Very comfortable and sits at the correct height for a good drawing grip.
Note: I have no affiliation with the site or the producer of the product. |
| I have never had one but heard good things about this lil outfit.....................Alabama Holster Company |

Just a little advice if you've never appendix carried your glocks before, I found the G19/23 size to be biggest sized glocks you'd want to carry at that position. The slide length makes it rather uncomfortable to sit down for very long. Not necessarily true. The thing you will find with AIWB is it is VERY personal...on what works for each person. Everyone's body shape is different and AIWB will accommodate various guns for different people. I am 6' 1" and wear L/XLtall shirts. I have no issues with AIWB and a G17/22, but others may struggle with comfort with a G19. What position your holster sits will make an enormous difference as well. You really need to plan on trying out a number of positions before giving up on AIWB and a specific holster if you want to find that sweet spot. Someone mentioned the Galco Tuck holster....I have tried it and in my opinion is NOT better than kydex. Kydex is thinner, and the Tuck holsters are single clip holsters and stability is less than I like. Again, AIWB is much more of a personal fit than standard IWB, so what works for some will not necessarily work for you. I tried one of the most highly recommended AIWB holsters a few years ago and found it was very uncomfortable. The 'outrigger' clip used for added stability (which it did well) dug into my hip and was very uncomfortable. Others loved the holster, but I found it did not work for me at all. I tried a couple of others, and eventually settled on the one I mentioned in the first response to this thread. Accept the fact you will likely need to try a few holsters to find what works for you. The good news is others are doing the same and the lightly used market via the sales forums here (equipment exchange) and other forums (ie glocktalk) are good places to look for deals and to leverage when you are looking to sell some that you found did not work for you. |

Nobody knows it is there. |

I think appendix works best for the "fit" crown. I have a few fat buddies who have tried it and complain about being uncomfortable. |
