If it helps, I converted my 23 to a 19.

Do you have other 40s or any specific need for 40?

was thinking the 40 would be nice when i go out west during the summer. Building a cabin up in the mountains. But other than that, no I guess i'm bored and want to a new gun.

I purchased a Glock 23 RTF2 and added a Wolf 9mm conversion barrel so now I have the best of both worlds....I love the gun.

I'm issued 40 so that's what I shoot. I like it just fine. If it weren't issued, I would be a 9mm only shooter. I'd be thinking about another Glock 9mm if I were you. A 26 if you want a deeper concealment gun, or maybe a 17 or 34 for a nice range gun. Don't discount a second 19, you know two is one and all.

I switched over to the 23 when it dawned on me that for the same weight/size, I could carry a better performing round in the same holster as my 9mm.

I now run only .40s for both HD and hog hunting.

It's my daily carry. Perfect weight/size for me.

I have the 19 and 23.

I love the 19 and hate the 23 and I wish I could sell the 23.

I love 9mm and .45ACP. I even work L.E. and we breathe, eat, sleep, sh*t .40. Its a good caliber, but I still like 9mm and 45 more.

My 19 is amazingly accurate, dependable, and reliable. How can a person not love a big 'ol american apple pie eating .45ACP!

unfortunately, you can convert the 23 to a 19, but you cannot convert a 19 to a 23.

My 23 would be a 19 if my Dad didn't insist we use 40's.  We decided years ago to choose the same platforms for our main "defense guns" in order to have parts, ammo, and mag compatibility.  We both agreed on Glocks, but he wanted a 40 over the 9mm.  That said, everything that is "perfect" about the 19 is the same with the 23.  It just has snappier recoil and 2 fewer rounds in the mag.

Now that I have my "go to" 40s taken care of I'm starting to add 9mms for day to day CCW and range use.  Went with the 26 first and will probably add a 17 or 19 eventually.

I have a 19, a 17, and a 22.

My next is going to be a 23.  It should fit nicely with the other 3 Glocks I have. All are Gen 3s.

After the 23 will come a 26 and a 30.

I've had my 23C for years and I love it. It's very reliable and I love the balance and weight to it.

But would a 23C or regular 23 be the preferred purchase?
