....what's the final word?  I was given 500 hard cast 200gr LSWC.  I want to use them, but I've heard some horror stories.

eta: I read this thread.  It seems like hard cast is ok.  The bullets I was given were Silver State.  Ever heard of them?

They are dangerous, send them to me for proper disposal.

Just to be on the safe side, I put a Lone Wolf barrel in mine, they are "drop Ins".

I shoot lead or moly through my Glocks and other handguns all the time. never had a problem.  The non lead stuff is reserved for place like indoor ranges that don't allow lead.

I shoot lead in my factory glock barrel all the time- simple- start with a clean bore-shoot 200 rounds- clean bore- continue this cycle. Any properly assembled in spec reload lead or otherwise will do just fine in a glock. The key is to keep on top of bore condition- pretty easy to just brush out the bore after each range session with lead- hell most of us do this anyway!
one thing you do NOT want to do is follow the VERY BAD advice seen on some boards to just shoot a jacketed bullet through the leaded bore- to push the fouling out- the increased resistance of the jacketed bullet in the essentially smaller bore is a recipie for disaster.
