| Have been looking at a few local gun stores for a used 20 with no luck. Looked a little online, but there dosnt seem to be a whole lot of used ones for sale. If anyone versed in the Glock world can point me in the right direction id appreciate it. Fwiw i also have a beretta px4 storm id trade if anyone is interested. Thanks for the help fellas |

I was in the same boat (looking for a G20SF locally but none of the shops within 30-mile radius had it in stock). Then spoke with a co-worker yesterday morning about my fruitless search for the G20SF and he went to say ... "I'll sell you mine".
He is a 10mm guy but does not like plastic guns in general. This is his first Glock that he bought new. Stopped by his place after work and found a like new G20SF with factory night sight with 3.5-lb Scherrer connector, +2 extra 15-rd mag (4 mags total), and a Storm Lake 6" barrel. How much? He said $475 .... SOLD!! |
| Got a couple emails from guys on this sight, been checking out Glock talk also! I appreciate all the help. Anyone have any input on round count wear for this caliber? Im just wondering bc im sure there are a ton of board members with a ton of knowldge on this model and caliber |

I found one, pumped about my first Glock being a 20...any recomendations on ammo as far as a good cost/performance comparison? Mayb sight upgrades or any mods for the future? This is relevant to my interest. If I can tag another question here
Any recommendation on replacement guide rod and spring if one is to replace the factory recoil spring assembly with a 22lb aftermarket variant? |

Sights depends on what you want to use the gun for. Do you want Nites or regular? Basically just like the chevy vs ford vs mopar; Trijicon, ameriglo, mepro, truglo. I'm going to put a set of trijicon nites on mine next month. A 6in aftermarket barrel is a common upgrade. A little more supported chamber, better is you reload/shoot lead, and some more fps. Ammo, most OTC is watered down 40ish. I like hornady, Corbon, and Buffalo bore the best. A lot like double tap too. |

Found a new source of ammo and have seen some good reviews, but haven't shot it myself...
http://www.underwoodammo.com/ AIM has a special on some cheap 180gr... Online reviews show it to be loaded really mild...like 950 fps...but would be good for plinking... http://www.aimsurplus.com/catalog.aspx?groupid=274&name=10mm |

This is all good info, leaning more twords nite sights and maybe hornady to try first.. either way upgrades wont be for a while! So in your oppinion 10mm OTC is like squeezing " watered down 40 "? Trying to accumulate as much info as possible, u guys have been huge! |

Trying to accumulate as much info as possible, u guys have been huge! not watered down 40, it's watered down to 40. What you will find out is 10MM IS EXPENSIVE TO FEED!!!! If you really want to enjoy the 10, and not make it just safe queen or sell it, you are going to want to reload. This should be a high priority too. Just me, I'm not a fan of captured guide rods. Mine sits as one of the bump in the night and backwood/hunting/hiking, so it falls under the KISS principle. A new guide rod/spring, 6in barrel, nite sites, that's all. When it sits in the nightstand it dawns a streamlight trl. Also another good ammo guy is georgia arms, his canned heat it nice |

If you really want to enjoy the 10, and not make it just safe queen or sell it, you are going to want to reload. Actually, the 10mm isn't expensive to feed at all if you reload. In fact, you can make quality handloaded 10mm for less than you can buy the 40s&w 'bargin' ammo. Think about it for a moment. The 10mm shoots the same bullet as the 40s&w so the cost difference is a push, the large primer the 10mm uses is the same price as the small primer the 40s&w uses, the 10mm uses a bit more powder but the powder cost difference between a 6.0grn 40s&w load and a 9.5grn 10mm load using Power Pistol and a 165grn bullet is a whopping 7 tenths of a cent, so the only difference really is the price of the brass. Once you've got your brass, it's less than 3/4 of a cent per round difference between 40s&w and 10mm to reload. |

Also UTO, if you want to learn/know anything on the 10mm COSteve is awesome. Not being a smart ass, he knows his shit!! |
