| Nope, it's a pretty easy course and the gun is one of the easiest there is to detail. I've been a Glock armorer for about 10 years and nothing has really changed in the course since the first one I attended. You'll be there for the enitre alloted time though, so don't expect an early release. You also might want to bring some chow cuase the lunch they provide isn't always the geatest. |

Have fun. You'll only be a few miles from where my second, and final, ex-wife lives. ;) Glocks are so simple to work on, I can't imagine sitting through such a class, unless my employment required it. It's not at Smyrna. Through a local PD. I'm doing it to supplement my firearms instructor status. |
| It's a good class. Keep all firearms such as off duty firearms and concealed firearms in the car. They will make you put it back in the truck... Trying to save you a trip. Also, bring some cash... They sell some glock lights and a boyonet for a glock which i thought was pretty cool. |

Great class, yep weapons/ammo need to be out of the room. Glock hats, pads, DVD of the class for sale, worth it.
Watch cups and springs go flying across the room ;) The final is break it down completely and put it back together, but that time you will have done it 6-10 times. |

I got my inspection plate and take down tool. Yeah, the cups were flying as well as a few springs. The instructor literally threw a Glock across the room. Landed on the cheap ass carpet over concrete. Quite interesting. |

the hats are a nice buy, about $10 each. |

LEO/MIL qualify to go, otherwise join GSSF for the easier route for civilians to go. If a local funstore or range wants to sponsor a course, they can get a free slot.

Where do they usually hold these courses at? Anywhere besides Police Stations? Or is this just a LEO/mil thing? I don't yet own any Glocks, but when I do get one (or some) it might be nice to take the Armorer's course. I'd like to take a 1911 one too. |
