Shoot about 45 rounds is Speer 124 grn +p through my Gen2 19 yesterday. During fire with the 33 round factory Glock magazine, I experienced two (or maybe it was three) failures to feed. I was trying to shoot more quickly than usual and the nose of the hollow point was getting hung up on the feedramp. I was a little surprised at this because GLocks normally eat anything. When I slowed down, the failures ceased.

I was using a brand new recoil spring so it's not as if that part was worn. I did put about 14 rounds through a standard new factory mag without incident, but I was taking my time between shots. The factory mags were brand new with the most current generation followers if that means anything. I also noticed that if I slapped the 33 round mag in after extracting the offending round that the slide closed automatically without me having to rack it or engage the slide stop lever. I don't know how common that is. The only other thing I could think of it that it was dry, but it had been cleaned and lubed since my last session so I don't know what gives.

I purchased the ammo brand new from GT Distributors marked down. It was the 50 rounds to a box stuff. I was planning on keeping this in the GLock as defense ammo, but now I'm not so sure. I may as well burn through the rest of it and see what happens.

i would tend to say that is a mag related failure, but you said it was new...did rapid fire with the 15rd mag work ok? if so id say its the 33rder..

I didn't try rapid fire with the 15 round mag. I may do so given the chance and see what happens. Is it possible that there may be a compatibility issue between the Gen2 G19 and the newest generation of magazine followers?

I'll also try FMJ's and see what happens. Maybe it's the hollow point rounds.
