I went in the local gun store looking for a G35. The owner showed me the 24, I didn't know it existed.
I planned on buying the 35 for matches, but bought this one instead.

The 24 doesn't fit in the IDPA box, which is why Glock came out with the 35.  Hope the matches you are doing, do not have a class size restriction.

The 24 is one of the best Glocks out there.  Don't worry about someone else's "rules", just enjoy it.

That looks sweet!  I wanted on really bad until I found out about the box thing.  I am not sure I want to shoot at those events, but just in case went with the 35.  The ones I shoot at do not check and wish I would have done the entire 24 gig, but you just never know.  Maybe my next purchase!

I like the G24 so much, I converted my G22 into a custom one to go with my G20/21L.  However, I got the longslide without the cutout because I just don't care for the hole in the slide.  I also prefer the balance of the longslides to the G22's and the increased sight radius (28%) makes shooting steel at 100yds fun.  I get velocity increases in the 70-100fps range for all my handloads.  I've also tried CCW'g it and it hides just as well as my G22, however, the draw would be a bit slower!

My Concealed carry gun is a 27, I love it. My newly acquired 24 fits in the same belt slide holster. I haven't had the opportunity to carry the 24 yet, but wardrobe willing, I'll take it out for a test drive.
