Hi all, I picked up the ghost rocket connector kit and have been filing the little tab to get it to fit or work properly but it
still doesn't let the trigger release. I am about to bust out a dremel on it but don't want to take too much off. Anyone ever use one of these and have issues? I am just wondering how much you actually have to file off? Thanks in advance. |
| How much material have you removed? It can vary, but you shouldn't have to take off too much. You dont need a dremel, just a file. I would pay particular attention to making sure you're filing it square and not on an angle. Take off about .010- .015 each pass and test it each time. You should get it within at least a few tries. Dont get frustrated and remove too much or you'll defeat the purpose of the tab. |

Quoted: I had one installed on a G22 and had to file down the tab to ~.050".Hi all, I picked up the ghost rocket connector kit and have been filing the little tab to get it to fit or work properly but it still doesn't let the trigger release. In the end I uninstalled it as I just did not care for the feel of the trigger with that disconnector installed. |

I had the same issue fitting a friends Rocket the other day. It turned out, the bend angle of the connector was off. If it is bent too far in, it won't want to reset.
It takes 5 seconds to fix. See the installation guide on Ghost's website for instructions on setting the bend angle: http://www.ghostinc.com/category/istallationinstructions/ |
| I believe the connector is supposed to stand off @ 7*. Mr. Ghost hisself installed a Ghost Rocket in my old G17. He used a dremel. I didn't like the mushy let-off of the Rocket, so he suggested that I try the Ghost Ultimate, which has a much crisper let-off. I also like the Lonewolf and Scherer connectors. |
