I have a G27 & looking to upgrade my sights. Not sure if I want to go with fiber optics or tritium. I'd like to get something quality without breaking the bank. I'd like a good all-around sight, good in day, good at night. It's probably a question that could have many answers, but just looking for some input on what others have done. This trooper might be carried at times, but also sits bed-side. Maybe that little bit of info could help in deciding a good site?
Any input is much appreciated

Fiber optics work with available light...
at 2 AM in a dark hallway - good luck

Tritium works 24/7 nice white circle during the day and nice green glow at night
Trijicon or Meprolight

I know tritium is better, but didn't know if anyone had decent fiber optics. Sometimes with the littlest amount of light, quality fiber will illuminate. I will look into the Mepro. Looks like it's the way to go. Thanks for the help.

The TFO sights are tritium and fiberoptic.  Fiber during the day, tritium at night.  That may work for your needs.  I use just tritium on all my Glocks.  For carry guns, I use the Trijicon HD, and for standard guns, just the Trijicon night sights.

Those of you who have changed out the sights yourself, did you use the "rear sight" tool? I've seen people using a punch to remove the rear sight. Anyone done that or have another way of doing it without the tool?

I have the MGW glock site tool and it works very well..

I've never used the tool just a brass punch and hammer...4-5 times now. I wouldn't waste the money on the tool unless I put them on all day long for a living.

I like having the the front sight a different color than the rear. Ameriglo's look good, also gonna check out the Meprolight.

Best bang for the buck out there...

IIRC they last longer than Trijicons....

I-Dot Pros are looking good. Trying to find green/rear & orange/front. Early on the search, but might be hard to find and if found "sold out". I think I'm on the righteous path though.
