I want to get a Glock34/35 for range use. I will get a Lone Wolf threaded conversion barrel so I can shool lead or use the suppressor. Is there any down side to getting a model 35 and the 9mm conversion barrel? I will mostly shoot 9mm but that gives me the .40 option.

No, however, if you wanted to compete remember that a G35 shooting 9mm would not be considered a stock class firearm. That said, I'd much rather have a G35 than a G34. You might also want to consider a G24 with a LW threaded conversion barrel to G17L.  I really like the longslide versions. Besides my custom G20/21L, I also converted my G22 into a custom G24 with a LW slide without the cutout.  I'm not a fan of cutout slides.  |

I looked on their website and they only list the black annodized version that they claim works on Gen 2 only. My stainless version works fine on my Gen 3, however, I did have to open up the throat where it meets the bottom of the grip to seat the mags easily. It really makes a big difference with your grip as it keeps you hand up high on the pistol for much better control. I hard chromed it a few years ago. This is what it looked like on my G21 when I first installed it. Melted Bo-mar rear sight, front serrations, and full 6" slide length. It's success is part of the reason that JR decided to produce ss longslides for Glocks.  |
