who has cut their g17 down to g19 grip? did you do it yourself? if you did, how so? did you have it done professionally, and who did the work? are you happy with it, and would you do it again?

I've never done it to one of mine, but I've handled one done by Robar and was impressed with the work.

$300 for a grip reduction... why not just spend $100 more and buy a used Glock 26?

Robar does good work but their prices are absurd.

My assumption is that the OP wants the shorter grip without giving up the bbl length & sight radius.

As pointed out just above by another poster, there are others who do it cheaper and/or it can be done as a DIY project –– I only mentioned Robar because I've actually handled one that was done by them, I've never seen one done by anyone else that I recall.
