I got to get my new 17 out today for the first time. I put 170 round's threw it with out a problem. I am pretty happy.

Thinking very seriously about picking up a Gen 4 G17 tomorrow. I have owned several Glocks and always got rid of them because of the grip.
I cannot find one at a range locally to shoot. Can someone give me a shooting impression as it relates to recoil and grip. The best shooting Glock I have ever had was a G26. Mainly in my opinion due to the spring. When I heard the new G17 had a similar setup I was stoked. Then when I heard that the backstrap was reduced on the Gen 4 from the Gen 3, as long as I did not add the larger backstraps, I though "I have got to try one". So those of you that have shot the Gen 4 and 3, how much real world difference is there? Thanks guys, I need to make a decision by about 9 am. |
