first off, let me get this out of the way, im a HUGE H+K fan. i love my USP40 to death. ive also shot a P2000SK 40 with the LEM trigger, and fell in love immediately. my buddy turned me onto the H+K's last year, i shot his USP, then bought one(found one for a STEAL). I also shot his P2000SK, but couldnt find one cheap enough(new are about $875).

so, after a bit of research, i came across the G27gen4. im looking for a carry gun, but have always had a negative attitude towards Glocks because of the trigger. ive dry-fired a G17 before, and it just felt uncomfortable the way the center of the trigger moves around. if you were trying to sell me on a Glock, what would be the good and bad about them?

Glocks are good guns. Shoot one and if you like it you're a winner!

the least expensive first class combat auto around. lots of good well earned reputation for reliability, sufficient accuracy and good parts and repair support. You have the chance to shoot it in gssf matches(nice casual matches that give you the chance to win guns or $) lots of holster options.
you'll get used to the trigger and learn trigger reset and you will be satisifed. if you qualify for a public service discount they can be had new for 400 bucks, if not public serivce join gssf aand they are 425 new plus the 35 gssf fee, so you are still well under 500 bucks. if you try it for a while and decide it is not for you they can be easily sold for 400 bucks so you won't lose anything.

G27s are pretty sweet. Got me a Gen 3. Add NS and GAP floorplate and your set!

Take this guys advice.  Glocks are great guns.  Eventually you just realize they got everything a good defensive gun needs.

I own both a HK USP C .40 and a Glock 23. Only a couple differences to me. Price, and the way the grip feels. They are both excellent pistols. Accurate and Reliable.

In the past  I disliked Glocks then decided to get one last month just because I had extra cash from selling ammo and parts. Ended up getting a G19 Gen 3, G17 Gen1 the next week, and a G26 Gen3 the following week.

Does that say anything?

PS rent and shoot the G27 before you buy it. I got my G26 and then tried my friend's G27 and hated it. It shot like I was hammering Granite without gloves.

Oops im 30 mins too late....

Honestly, I'd recommend putting 1000 rounds through the gun with everything stock and see how you like it first. The standard Glock trigger has really grown on me to the point that I prefer it to pretty much any pistol including a 1911. My dad's got a tricked out glock with all of the after market parts and I'm like meh...
