I'm just getting into IDPA and im wondering what you guys think is the best holster for a glock 17 2nd gen for under $35
and a double mag holster for under $30 Just to let you know I'm right handed.

I would look at the Glock combat/sport holster.  The one manufactured by Glock.  To be honest though you will get what you pay for generally.  Though I have heard the Glock holster is a good holster for the money.

I recommend two Glock factory pouches instead.

That's what I EDC.

Do the factory single mag holsters have some thing to keep them from moving back and forth on your belt

They're shit.

Spend an extra $20 and get a Comp-Tac.

If you buy something cheap then you'll just have to replace it anyway, so you're saving money buying good gear the first time.

Good advice right here.  Comp-Tac is great and their holsters are excellent.

I agree, Comp-Tac makes awesome gear and I have several of their holsters. However, I just got this today and am very pleased.

Is it as good as the Comp-Tac? Doubtful but its a good alternative at a great price. And if you don't like it, you're not out too much money.

Safariland, best value for the money. As good as Blade-Tech or Comp-Tac for OWB.

Safariland 5187-83 (Glock 17 and 22)

Safariland 079-83 (any 9mm or .40 Glock)

But if you are going to play and practice like you carry, get an M-Tac from Comp-Tac.

Mine are absolutely rock solid.

No migration at all.

I have bladetech, uncle mikes, and fobus gear between all of my different game guns. I actually like the fobus belt loop mag holders over bladetech because they retain the mags firmly but are easier to put the mags in than bladetech. For holsters I use bladetech or a 25 dollar uncle mikes kydex that works great as well. Not a fan of fobus holsters at all.

does the blade-tech kit fit the G34?

Yes the bladetech will work for the 34/35.  They are one of the few companies that make holsters for them in specific.  Also if you have taller than normal sites they can even do a special holster for you as well.

This.  Comp-Tac is what I use for IDPA and USPSA and 3-gun for that matter.
