send it to me.  I had a factory mag disassemble while I was loading at the range today...  Boolits everywhere!

What step are you getting hung up on?

i was trying and trying on older G23 mags, the ping would not recess into the mag.  i just tried it with a G27 mag thats brand new, and the pin recessed into the mag just like i see on youtube vids.  i was able to pry that one off with a tiny blade screwdriver one side at a time, which i know is still not the correct method.

i guess my main trouble is the squeeze.  is there a tool or method out there that makes this easier?

You are not going to hurt it.  Mine come apart with a little force but nothing excessive.

Its hell trying to disassemble them. I have to take a alan wrench and pry them off using the hole on the floorplate.

I push the pin/base plate as far up as I can get it to go, then I slightly squeeze the side of the mag body (near the bottom of the mag body, buy the base plate) with a pair of channel locks that have cloth to protect the mag body.  The base plate will then slide off.  An AR firing pin, or a nail with the point ground off makes a good tool to get the plat to go up far enough.

LMAO... the first thing i read on that page...

"*   PLEASE READ FOR TEN ROUND CLINTON MAGAZINES   *

The technique for these magazines can be slightly different than hi caps. The design makes it difficult to push the reinforcement plate into the mag body more than a quarter of an inch...."

... oh no wonder!
