Sounds about like every gun show I've been to in SE Michigan... $600+ is not uncommon to see on new glocks.

Did you ask anything about it?

I was at a show here in Maine a couple weeks ago and saw a G19 for $695, come to find out it was a proofed import straight from Austria. I could care less about that kind of thing, so I went a table across and picked up a G19 RTF2 for $480 ;)

if you're referring to the one from gander mtn....no it was a stock glock gen 3. yeah $480 seems like the right price, good score my brotha

On Northeastshooters.com I see Glocks around that price(at least over $600) all the time they never seem to sell though. Never really understood why. I was cool with $500 for my 19RTF and a third mag. Mass is well just different or special or something.

ETA:

First 3 for sale over there.

G26 Gen 3(2010) $700.00

G27 Gen 2.5, 3holsters, 2mags $600.00

G29 Gen 2.5, w/Night sights 3mags, $725.00

Maybe something to do with ban laws? But then I don't get the Gen3 that was a 2010. Maybe someone can enlighten us?

I was referring to the OP's questionable priced G22/23. Like I said I saw one at a show around that price that upon asking some questions and closer inspection of the markings turned out to be a real deal Austrian import. Not worth the extra money IMO. The tag on the G19 I got said $480, the guy saw my CIB on my hat and made it $450 for me, which turned out to $480 out the door after tax. Great deal on a G19 RTF2. Put a TLR-1 and Meprolight sights on it and I'm still around the price of the import and all these other crazily priced Glocks we're talking about.

off topic but at the same show, my friend wanted to buy a carry gun, he got a slightly used m&p 40c for $490 out the door, funny thing was, he is looking the gun over, hands it back to the sales guy, and i asked if HE could break it down so we could look at the internals. in a quick, snappy voice he says no, because youd prolly open it up and parts would go flying all over the building and then we couldnt sell it....i kninda gave him an and when he turned to help someone else, picked up the gun, broke it down and we checked it out before he even noticed, it looked like it was never fired

There are Gen 2 glock 19's on gunbroker for $700. States that they are hi cap Mass. compliant. Does the state of Mass. have laws allowing hi capacity mags on older glocks. Could that be the reason for higher than normal price.

High cap "pre ban" mags are allowed in Ma.

The problem in Ma is that we have a approved roster list of firearms allowed for sale.

We ALSO have added  regulation from the Attorney general.

Now Glocks are Approved on the roster however they are not approved by the AG. Any glock made after 10/21/98 cannot be sold in Ma except to Law enforcement

So OP to answer your question with  that Glock you have the rarest of rare in MA.........A glock  with a high cap mag.

$700 is high though. There are alot of shops that have glocks for sale in MA for less than $500.

weird, im fairly certain that my buddy has a glock 17 dated early 2000's, came with 3 17 rd mags, bought from a reputable gun shop in mass, maybe because it was a police trade in it is ok? i hate trying to figure out the mass laws

Don's Guns near Indianapolis has had them for over $1,000 on a simple new Glock that isn't anything special. That must be the price for one without a 4473 or something. Those crooked bastards are out of their damn minds. S&W Sigmas for 700+, M&Ps are like 1k, The people that work there look like fucking drug dealers. I have to stop there on my way back from the INDY 1500 Gun show just to get a laugh. There is ALWAYS a big pimped out caddy with 20"+ rims with a bunch of homies shooting aks one handed on the range. Guys that work there just let it happen. When mentioned they just say "they signed a release" Prices on everything at this place are 2 to 3 times what realistic prices are.

$700 is a great price if it has night sights and an extra threaded barrel for a suppressor like I paid

$1,100.

For a supposedly tricked out gun.

It was a full size 45 GAP, in the new "hottest caliber that beats all others". It had added onto it a Titanium plunger, ghost ring night sights, extended mag and slide release, seattle slug, 3.5lb trigger bar, a whopping 3 mags, and a safety trigger.

He said he was "willing to go down to 1050, but not a cent less."

MA can't sell "new" glocks to anyone but LEO, so there's going to be a premium on used ones.

But yeah, stupid high price.

ETA, those same LEO could then sell it to whoever they want, though.  That's how current production Glocks get in the MA marketplace (that, or someone bringing one with them when they move).

Exactly! I'll never understand why people pay that much, if there's a GSSF dealer in their area. A lot of people aren't familiar with the GSSF and their Pistol Purchase Program, though.

With my GSSF membership, I still get mine for $398 because my local shop that participates in the GSSF Pistol Purchase Program is a police supply store.
