+1 - quit being a sissy and calous up. |

uplula works great, then the glock one. I had another one, I think it was an HKS? just like the glock one but beefy, lost-it-boo hoo.
I am all for being able to load up a mag without a loader, in the dark, with one hand, loading from your back pocket, in a ditch, under a truck, uphill both ways, and all that. but if I'm loading a bunch-o 33 rounders for the range or SHTF if I had a choice give me a loader. |

Same here. The Lord gave me two (I have an extra)!!! The factory loader works well and it is free. What caliber are you loading, 9mm is a breeze but the .45 can a little difficult?

Interested in answers to this question - personally I just do it by hand, but my dad is a recent Glock convert and he managed to chop part of his thumb off with a skilsaw last year, so loading via thumb is very painful for him - wondering what the best loader would be as the stock loader is a bit difficult for him to use. Haven't used a lula for Glocks - good? |

When I first got my G23, it was damn near impossible to load the 13th round into the factory mag. I just used the factory loading tool and it worked fine. I can't see myself spending money on a loader when I only used it for 1 round in each mag, and even that only lasted like 3 range trips. Everything loads up to full capacity with no loaders now.

no issues here... but if a mag loader is needed i would think the factory unit should do just fine... maybe slower, but what's the rush in loading mags anyway? when i get home from the range i load my mags while i'm watching tv. next range outing all i have to do is grab my mags, throw them in my range bag, then i'm off. this, of course, is assuming you have enough mags to do this. |

another fan of the HKS mag loader here, they rock http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=185526 |

I have the uplula, the glock, and the HKS.
If you have a table, hard service, or can sit and use your knee, the uplula is great, with the glock factory loader working well in this situation too. The uplula is also a 'one size for all calibers' which saves on clutter and price overall. The positive aspect of the HKS is you do not need a table and you can load standing if necessary. The bottom of the magazine is captured within the loader and allows 'unsupported' use. I use the HKS a fair bit at USPSA matches as not every station/course has tables or convenient areas for sitting and loading mags. |

Ya thats it, gonna get me a few at that price and put one in each ammo can stash. justin case. Edit- just got an e-mail from boonie-packer, that ergo redi-mag loader is not made to fit the glock, my memory must be slipping and i must have used it with the Beretta. that was a long time ago, i miss the beast, so no-go on the ready-mag for glock, my-bad. |
| For all those who say don't wimp out, just use your fingers: I hope you are never cursed with Arthritis in your fingers. I can still load a single stack mag OK, but after two or three rounds in a double stack, my thumb hurts too bad to want to shoot. The Uplula is a blessing. |

Guys , I have not had my hands on the Uplula , so don't have any thoughts on it except it looks like you need a flat surface or desktop to use it ??
But IMHO this is by far the BEST Mag loader I have ever touched in my life .. Period It is solid construction and can be used away from any bench , I have put at least 6K through mine and it is just getting warmed up . Brass Stacker !!!!!!!!! Video here It looks harder than it really is , once you load a few mags you can load really fast without even hurrying . |

I find that the standard capacity mags aren't that hard to load. I've broken a few of my Glock loaders on my Glock 33rd mags though. There is a lot of resistance above 20rd. I use the Uplula with great results, but it is still very slow to load. I stopped taking my 33rd mags to the range because they slowed down my shooting time. I spent more time loading the things than shooting. I started loading my 17rd mags to only 10 or so to increase shooting time. My P90 mags hold 50rd and I only load them up to about 10-15 because of the single stack feed lips. The AR15 and AK mags with the double-stacked feeding setup is much faster to load. |
