I'm looking to get a G21SF and have read that there a few different configurations.
Do they make one that is the same as the regular G21 with glock rail but with the SF upgrade ? I don't care for the picatinny rail or the ambi mag release. |
| I have to admit I picked out a Glock 21SF without paying much attention to the rail. When I purchase mine I didn't notice the ambi model had a different rail system. From what I understand Glock no longer produces it though. As long as you pick up a Glock 21SF with the standard magazine release you should be good to go. |

no the SF comes standard with the picatinny rail and ambi mag release. The M1913 rail/ambi catch version has been long since discontinued. The SF now is only avaliable with the Glock rail/standard catch. ETA:Also in a limited run RTF2 option. this IS a fact. |

The Gen 3 is the only one available right now with some special runs of the RTF2s. Its been related to me that the 21SF Gen 4 should be out this summer. There were too many problems with the ambidextrous magazine release and it's no longer made. I often wonder how much testing R&D Glock did on the ambidextrous magazine release before they released it? I've worked with a few 21's that had the ambidextrous magazine release that had no problems. However, I saw and worked with many more that were a disaster. Mine included! I was happy to get rid of that gun! |
