I read many times that I would need an undersize or bulge buster die. I found that not to be true. I use a standard Lee carbide 4 die set with the Factory Crimp die. YMMV. I load .40 which is supposed to be a bigger no-no than 9mm. I've had some flattened primers but no ruptured cases or anything. Follow safe reloading practices and you should be fine. |

I don't out of a 19 , but have gone through 6K in the 40's in the last year with NO issues what so ever and these were LEAD . YOU CAN SHOOT LEAD IN YOUR GLOCKS !!!!!!!!! |
| strictly a lawyer thing- agree with above posters my estimate is over 50k of ammo through glocks over the years many with lead reloads-no problems, even 40 cal. With lead use a hard cast bullet and scrub bore every 200 rounds or so and you'll be fine. Do not use the advice to shoot a jacketed bullet through a leaded bore to push the fouling out this causes increased pressure and could lead to a ka boom! |
