Would you trade a rock island tactical 45 1911 for a glock 27?

Pricewise I think so, but the questions is why?  You can usually get a 27 for low to mid 400, the same as a RIA Tac. Do you need to change so you can CCW, are you having problems with the RIA, or are you just looking for a change?

I have a 26 and a RIA TAC.  They fit very different shooting purposes.

i've had many 1911's but they usually just end up sitting in the safe.  My dad is always trading around for guns and he traded for this 27 just thinking about trading him my 45 for it.  I do conceal carry so i think it will probably get used a lot more.

Yes. The 27 is vastly more useful.

If I needed\wanted the 27 and wasn't using the RI then sure, why not?
