Does anyone carry a fullsize or compact with the factory + baseplate? Does it print? How is the reliability? Can you really get two more cartridges in the .40 mags? |
| Tried it once but thought it was kind of pointless in the end as it basically makes the 19 into a 17 for concealment purposes and prints as such. There are 2 +2 plates from Glock, the older one is a short wedge and it gives 2 in 9mm and 1 in .40/357. The newer one is taller and while also a wedge, appears to have a slight divot in the front. That model gives +2 in .40 and 357. I believe it may also give 1 in .45GAP but as I've never tried it I can't say for 100% certain. |

I carry a G19 magazine with a factory +2 baseplate for my carry reload. ––- why not just carry a 17rd. (G17) mag for your carry reload? or, as i do, carry a spare G17 mag with a factory +2 baseplate. I don't carry it as my primary magazine because it makes the grip area nearly the same length as my G17. ––- agreed. |

What happened is I screwed up the basepad on a G19 magazine taking it off. So I ordered a +2 from glockparts to try it out (and a GTUL to disassemble magazines). I could switch it over to one of my G17 magazines for 19 rounds, but I'm lazy.
