Quoted: Quoted: still no light rail. Glock needs to get with the program. What light would you like to hang on a 26/27? Streamlight TLR-3 Springfield, Walther, Smith and Wesson, and HK all offer sub compacts with rails. I realize not everbody uses a weaponlight, but i don't see any downsides to slapping a rail on the dustcover. |

I love my Glocks, but no thank you. I really love my GLOCKs, but I will not own anything but Gen. 2 or 3. Just personnal preferance. Don't like the back straps or the new mag.release, or the new texture, or the new finishes on the slide and barrel....sorry Gaston. |

Glock needs to get with the program. really? seriously? ![]() yes, seriously ![]() while they're at it, get rid of the POS plastic sights. i realize most will switch them out to night sights, but if you are going to go through the trouble to introduce a new generation of a handgun it wouldn't hurt to take a critical look at some shortcomings.

Glock uses polymer sights to keep the price in the $500-$550 price range. By adding "better" sights it will move the Glock well into the $600 range in many locations. |
| I think the Gen 4 subcompacts will be totally fine without the bugs of the G17 Gen4. The only change on the subcompacts is the mag release, grip and grip panels. The internals are exactly the same as a standard Gen 3. Unlike the Gen 4 17. They always had the dual recoil spring. My personal carry gun is a G26 with over 6,000 rounds. It has run from day one with every ammo load, from +p 124 gr Gold Dots to my target 147 gr loads at 900 fps. No problem with light loads. |

What'd they change about the finish? Is it still tenifer? Quoted: Quoted: I love my Glocks, but no thank you. I really love my GLOCKs, but I will not own anything but Gen. 2 or 3. The barrels are now a grey color and the slides are a lighter black/greyish tint. I like the BLACK finish on my older models. |

Love the 23, I hate the finger grooves on it |

can't wait for it to come out.... GEN3 will be cheaper! GEN3 and GEN4 are the same price. Unfortunately, I've seen some shops charging a $50+ premium for Gen4's. ![]() Yup.....What he said. Yes, but they do come with 3 magazines instead of only 2. So more like $25-30 more. |

My question is...do the new additional back straps only make the gun thicker?
I shoot the the Gen3 well enough, but my one main complaint about the G26 is the pronounced hump at the bottom of the back strap. It appears that the additional back straps reduce the protruding of the hump, but also increase the distance from the back strap to the front of the trigger. The current model already has a fair amount of reach there so it appears the new generation with back straps doesn't seem to improve in that area at all. Can anyone confirm this? I'll have to eventually confirm until actual field testing. |

Interestingly, dealer cost through most major civilian distributors are charging close to an extra $50 for the gen 4's. The LE pricing the last I checked was the same. Either some distributors are charging a premium due to demand, or Glock has raised their pricing for civilian sales. |
