Do the numbers (4 digit) on the bottom of the base plate have any meaning? Are they dates of manufacture? Some of my mags have them, some don't.

I think the only important numbers are the ones on top of the followers. These indicate the revision number. I think 9 is the newest ones. I have no idea about the base plate numbers.

I will have to dig them out, but the baseplates for ten shot magazines are different than those for standard capacity magazines and can alert the intreped that a magazine has been assembled using ban state parts.
