[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Problem with a g17 mag

Hello all.....i have a g17 mag that i use as a backup/hd mag and i have noticed that the number 7 round has wiggle room, it slides front and back enough to make noise. it is always the 7th round and i have taken all the rounds out making sure that they are fully pushed back into the mag....any ideas?

If the mag feeds fine I wouldn't worry about it.

It's got something to do with the internal geometry; some mags do it some don't.

Many double stack to single feed magazines do this. Perfectly normal.

This. Test out the mag and if it works, shoot it and don't worry about it. I have one or two that do this.

Absolutely correct. If it runs 100%, nothing to worry about.
