Recently got my CC permit and I was having a hard time finding ways to keep my gun on me( G26). Very athletic whether its going to and from hockey or baseball games, coaching two baseball teams or the gym, I find my self in mesh shorts alot. I can fit my G26 in the pocket of some of my shorts but most of them do not have pockets and it was a pain to change in and out of belt fitted pants or shorts all thetime, plus I dont feel great about pocket carry. then I found a Galco Stow N Go IWB holster that clips right on my shorts and distributes the weight evenly enough that the dont fall down even at a decent jogging pace.
Any body else carry like this or have other solutions? I would post pics but cant figure it out on here yet |
| I had a stow n go for my old duty weapon. I carrried it AIWB when flying armed. I gave it to a coworker who didn't have a off duty holster and I upgraded to a Don Hume PCCH. I always used it with a belt though. I carry a j frame with Barami grips when I wear shorts without a belt. |
| Welcome Tuna and high five from another baseball loving, CHL carrying brother. Living in TX it is very difficult to conceal a Glock during summer months and when wearing the attire you have mentioned. I ended up trying out a Tarus 709 Slim (which I absolutely love to this day), a Ruger LCP (which I also love and carry often) and several different compact pistols; Ruger SR9C, XDM 9 compact, Sigma 9, couple other Glocks. I always carried IWB on my right side from 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock and never could find something that fit the bill. I went to a custom leather shop and this woman who made holsters, chaps etc for old western movies back in the day made me a holster for my Glock 30. I wanted an IWB for my right hip but we got to talking and she convinced me to do an IWB holster normally for the left handed shooter but could be positioned at the small of my back. I carried it that way for one day and was amazed how often I forgot it was there. It is just a soft piece of leather form fitted to my Glock with a belt clip and I love it. If you haven't carried there, try it out. I have found that no matter what I'm wearing it remains concealed and rarely prints. Good luck! |

Not just for women
I've never used a product like this but it seems like it should work perfectly for your situation. Being pretty athletic I too wear non-belt-compatible pants occasionally but considering when I am exercising or playing I'm on a college campus so I can't carry there anyway. Otherwise if I'm just going to get the mail or to the gas station real quick I'll tie the drawstring tight and put my MTAC on my mesh shorts' waistband (it draws reliably on most of my shorts) or I'll quickly throw a belt on around my waist. I don't think my methods would work too well for you, though. |

Hope she isn't going to rob/kill me as I will be defenseless on the bed. B. I have just finished... |

Could anyone else just watch that over and over and over..... |

Milt Sparks Summer Special
Extremely lightweight holster Glock rides very low in the holster and is very well concealed great firearm retention (wont fall out even with strenuous activities) Right now I have both a Summer Special and Versa Max II by Milt Sparks. Both have great retention. The Versa Max II is a little heavier and a little better looking. The gun rides higher in the VMII and the gun is easier to draw and reholster in the VMII. To give you an example of strenuous activity I carried my Kimber SIS Ultra to Cliffs park in Albuquerque and rode the roller coster and a bunch of other rides and my pistol didnt move an inch. |
