It depends on state law. There is (currently) no federal CCW law except concerning federal property. If your state requires your weapon to be registered, then it must be registered. In Texas I don't believe this is the case. Check out the TX HTF for the answer.
ETA That said, if you were involved in a questionable shoot, and the police checked the sales record of the weapon, there may be some problems. |
