How would they know? I'm just saying...
A little OT, but years ago I drove across the country and I stopping somewhere in Kansas for the night. I was so pleased to see a sign behind the check in counter that basically encouraged the guests to bring their guns into their rooms and not leave them in their cars. |

Wow, I never heard of a hotel banning firearms. I mean your room is like an extension of your home in regards to privacy. I've never stayed a a Marriot, but I've also never looked for a No Guns sign at any hotel I check into. yeah, no crap ![]() Exactly. That is the law, in most states. So fuck them. And Armin Tanzarian is right.........how the fuck would they know anyway? It's cliche, but true: concealed means concealed. |

I travel a lot for work and only stay at Marriot and Holiday Inn properties. I have never seen a "no guns" or "no concealed carry" sign at any of them. I also have had my protection device in the room with me on a number of these trips and I can't imagine how anyone would have known. For them to know, you would have to tell them or leave it laying out in the open for housekeeping to see.
I admit I have never carried a long gun into either brand so I don't know how that would go. |

I saw one report online that they were relenting and taking down signs. I don't know if this means they are going to change their corporate policy or not.
Of course, I saw this after I wrote them to kill my Marriott Rewards account. It's not about individuals. I'm sure you can sneak a gun in easily enough. It's about corporate policy and our right to self defense. We have to respond to this sort of thing by sending a clear message that we're not going to simply skulk around but we will hit it head on with boycotts that directly impact their bottom line. There are enough gun owners to make them feel the pain and after all, profits is all they really care about. |
