I'm looking for a new pocket sized LED light with a click tail cap for carry. The Surefire T1a is mighty tempting but a little too spendy. I found the Fenix L1T any one have any suggestions on what they like?

I am looking for the same thing.  I was looking at the Surefire E1B or the Fenix PD20 (follow links to see each light).  The Sure fire has a 80 lumen and a 5 lumen setting, has the Surefire name behind it, is almost guaranteed to survive the apocolypse and costs about $150.  The Fenix is half the price, twice the lumens, has a dissorienting strobe at full power but isn't as much of a known quantity as Surefire.

Because I don't want to purchase multiple lights I think I'm going to go with the Surefire E1B because I know it will work, I know it won't fail, and if I do manage to break it somehow Surefire will stand behind their product.  Fenix...who knows .

E1B @ Larue for $114 and it comes with a hat that it'll clip on to not to mention all the other swag they send.

Nitecore Extreme Infinity R2, around $80, very compact, strike bezel, 220 lumens, sturdy, good beam, strobe mode, infinite brightness adjustments (though they can be a pain to adjust).

Also look into the Nitecore Defender Infinity.

I carry an E1B and E2DL every day.  I love both but for a pocket light the E1B would be a great way to go.  Take good care of it and I'll last a long time and will be worth the money.  I use mine every day for a variety of tasks around the shop.

I just bought a Surefire E1b off of Ebay for $99.00 with free shipping.  You can find cheaper prices there rather than at a local gunshop.

I have the Fenix L1T V2 and I like it. Very bright & you can turn it down to save battery life. Runs off 1x AA. Very solidly build as well. I don't have experiences with other flashlights for comparison though.

I have a couple of these, they are awesome.  I have owned a lot of other lights, many surefires.  These are better.

I have a Surefire E1B and a 4Sevens Quark AA. I carry the E1B everyday - it's almost perfect. It's less snag-prone than the Quark and the clip position allows it to ride lower in the pocket.

My carry ensemble.  The gun may change from time to time, but the light does not.  Perfect compromise between brightness and comfort.

Surefire makes nice lights.

I posted about a River Rock LED light in the Survival and Carry forums not too long ago... The light was found in Target. Then I was tempted by the flashoholics to buy another, even better light... It may have been a Phoenix, but I am unsure.

For EDC in the pocket carry this is easily my favorite and it costs $52:
NiteCore EZ AA

I also like the 4 sevens Preon2  light because it fits in slots designed for ball point pens.  Runs $49.  For shirt pocket this is fine.  For front pocket the Nitecore works and this doesn't.
4Sevens Preon2

May have to check out one of the Coleman lights at Wally World.  Probably not nice machined aluminum, but it says it has an aluminum case and for $25 we'll see.  I'm wondering though, what does ."Requires 2 "CR2 Lithium Cell" batteries (included)" mean?  If this thing requires two CR123 batteries or something worse,  that will be a consideration.

Cr2 batterys are a little smaller than CR123,they are available at WW and most pharmacys.
