I'm thinking about buying a belt from The Beltman. I can't decide between the bull hide belt and the horse hide belt. I also can't decide between the 1.25 and the 1.5 inch belt. This will be my every day belt, carrying or not. I carry a Glock 23 IWB in a Galco Summer Comfort holster, but want to get an MTAC sometime in the not too distant future. I'm open to other belts, but I don't care for the nylon Wilderness belts.
Who has a preference between Horse and Bull hide, and why? Which width is better for every day use? Stiffener or no? Thanks in advance! |

There are quite a few belt threads to be found here on bot the accessories and carry issues forums
Here is just one of them: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=23&t=82165 |
| I bought a CompTac belt and I really like it. I got the one that is 1.5" and tapers to 1.25" in the front. It has Kydex reinforecment sewn into it. The belt made a huge difference in comfort. I can hardly tell I have a holster on it. It was pre-contoured as well. |

It's the best gun belt I've ever owned. |

I carry with a Comp-Tac belt also. 1.5 in. internal stiffner. I was useing a Wilderness belt I like the CT belt much better, it looks like a regular belt. I also liked that I only had to wait 7 days for the belt, where some of the other belt makers have much, much longer wait times.
edit: I carry a 4 in. 1911 every day 10 + hrs a day in a MTAC. |

beltman bullhide, I love mine and wear it everyday regardless if I'm packing or not.
between school/working/drinking and being a 21 year old college kid the times are few and far between where I can responsibly carry.
At least I have my permit in a "may issue" state |
