| are these holsters are stiff around the trigger guard? I'm looking to get one but am concerned the fabric they are made out of is not sufficient to keep the trigger from getting caught on stuff |

I have one of these, but I am not sure I understand your question. The holster is loose around the trigger guard. Your weapon just sits in it like a pocket or pouch. The main purpose of this holster is to disguise the gun in your pocket. There is no retention of the weapon. The fabric on the inside is made out of some kind of nylon. Your weapon slips in and out with ease. If that is not what you are asking; sorry. Re-phrase the question and I will see if I can help you.

thanks for trying to answer that :) (it was past my bed time)
I'd like to know if the holster is soft where it covers the trigger or if it's rigid. On the desantis website it says the holster has poly inserts to stiffen it up in all the right places... doesn't specify where |

On the desantis website it says the holster has poly inserts to stiffen it up in all the right places... doesn't specify where No worries. The holster is not what I would call "stiff" at all. Average cardboard is much stiffer. Remember, this holster is designed to make it look like you have a large wallet or a PDA in your pocket - nothing more. As far as the trigger guard goes, it's not stiff either. The holster completely covers the trigger guard for most small guns. Medium frame guns get coverage on both sides and completely around the slide or barrel, but the holster splits open at the trigger guard. The only part of the holster that I would dare to call stiff is maybe at the spine. To me, the holster is soft, but it is comfortable. It does it's job well. The extra pad that Desantis designed to "velcro on", does a great job of disguising my gun. The outside material and the pad, do a pretty good job of holding my gun in place [in my pocket] so that drawing my weapon isn't a problem. I have two and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to "pocket carry". Good luck with your decision. J |
