Ok so I am 20 years old, I will be turning 21 in the next few months...
My question is, can I take the course prior to my 21st birthday, and take the test on my birthday? Or do I have to be 21 to enroll in the course and take the test? Thanks in advance |

Texas requires you to be 21 at the time you submit your application. It is 18 if you are active duty or honorably discharged military.
You can take the class up to one year before you submit your app, as the certificate is valid for one year from date of issue. |

I would wait until at least 20.5 so that you will avoid any problems should you have a delay in submitting your app. I.E. stuck in hospital/don't have funds/lose something/or God forbid get a class A or B pending on your 21st bday |
