I carry a 5 inch 1911 and have never had a problem carrying OWB. I got my MTAC two weeks ago and I've been having problems. If I carry on my hip it presses up against my hip bone and is very uncomfortable(6'3" 200lbs). If I move it back to around SOB or 5 o' clock, when I sit down it hits the magazine release and will pop the mag out forcing me to get up to press the magazine back in. It seems that if I hold it rather "high" to my hip it feels a lot better but my belt always sags it down. I've tried my Galco 1.5" belt and my Wilderness 1.75" kydex reinforced belt and it still sags. Any tips or pointers that I'm missing?

| All I can contribute is that people our height (me-6'3" 230) may have proportion problems. If you haven't struggled with how much you have to fold up your elbow to draw, you may be used to a low slung carry position. If the MTAC is riding higher, especially in the hip position, it might be a "new" spot for the gun. I'm mostly going to sit back and see what future posts share, so we can call this...*tag* |

Try putting about a 15 degree forward cant to the holster, and carrying in a position where the rear sight of the gun is lined up with the side seam or side crease of your pants. The gun should be just behind the point of your hip in a slight hollow and with the forward cant it should still be easy to conceal and draw. This is the ideal spot on my 6'4", 230 pound frame for an semi auto pistol. |

This is the same for me and I am 6-4 and 280lbs Its very easy for me to conceal and sometimes I forget its there. weird huh |

I am 6'3 and 210 pounds. I put my Mtac at about 4:00. I push the front clip up tight to the belt loop on my pants at about 3:30. I have the holster set up with almost as much forward cant as possible. It sits right in behind my hip bone and is fairly comfortable even sitting down. I usually have to adjust it a little bit if I sit for a while. Good luck finding your sweet spot, but it just might take some time to get used to IWB instead of OWB carry. |

Quoted: I'm 6'3" and 220. I've been looking at the MTAC for several weeks but have not placed the order. Like everyone else, I already have a drawer full of holsters I don't use. ![]() So I have to go with TAG. I can't make promises, but I think you will like the Mtac. I don't have a drawer full of holsters because I came here and read the feedback. I have used the Mtac on a daily basis for over a year and am supremely satisfied with it. |

I have it riding as high as it can with a lot of forward cant and I absolutely love it, it is truly the first holster I have ever been able to wear all day long without it bugging me. |
