My friend let me borrow his holster for a comparison video on the comp-tac CTAC and MTAC holsters. Both are IWB. One is full kydex the other is a leather kydex hybrid and both are GREAT holsters.

CTAC vs MTAC

Big thanks to my buddy who has an account here, but I don't remember his user name.

I hope this helps some people who were on the fence of which to get or had a question.

I am glad that I am not the only one that has that bit of extra leather on the front stick out. Maybe its just us skinnier fellows.

Good comparison, I like the ability to modify the all Kydex design of CTAC over any leather holster, a little heat and a dremel and you can make a custom fit, that is much harder to do with leather. My everyday CTAC is modified quite a bit from original.

For some added comfort and rust proofing I cover the "T" nuts with silicone and the one leather tab that bothered me I covered with felt. I have no comfort issue and the holster and gun are always against bare skin.

My hardware rusted through after a few years of sweat, I asked Comp-Tac for a cost on new hardware and tabs when I ordered my second, "after shower" CTAC , they sent me what I needed free of charge.
I went to Lowes to get nickel plated "T" nuts for the everyday holster to help prevent rust, that is why they are silver colored compared to the new one. 12 hours in the south Texas heat tends to send a lot of liquid past a holster worn at 12 o'clock, not a leather or metal friendly environment.

My setup is a C-TAC with a G30.  I am 145 and about 5-10.

That setup works fine for me.  I wear the C-TAC at the 8 o'clock position.

I am a lefty..

I use an MTAC with my commander sized 1911, and I love it!  It's much more comfortable than the CTAC I have for my XD.

Where can I find a CTAC to buy over the internet? Preferably I'd like a good deal.

(Want one for a G19 btw.)

Whats a reasonable price to pay for one? (If I'd see one at a gunshow/gunshop)
