Any guesses as to what is inside?

?

Full size USP 9mm, extra mag

Re-holstering is a bit tricky, unless I undo my belt and button on jeans.  I realize it makes me look a bit "thick".  Here is a pic of me without it on for reference.

In addition, this shirt and jeans are probably the tightest out of everything I own.  There really is zero printing unless I tuck in my shirt, then you can see a bit of the grip.

I am just now sending out for my permit so it will be a while until I can actually use it.  So far it is pretty comfortable, I might wear it in my truck since CCW in a vehicle is legal in MO without a permit.

Good way to blow your cock & balls off!

I honestly can't imagine how that could be comfortable?

Does any of the gun stick up above belt line?
ETA: how the hell do you even take a piss with that thing on?

No, the grip is right below my belt line and the muzzle is right below my junk.

I havent tried takin a piss with it on yet, they say you can slide it out of the way.

How does it feel when you sit down?  It looks downright uncomfortable...

Sitting down isnt too bad at all.  The muzzle pushes down further and the grip shoves up on my gut a bit.  I dont really have anything to compare it to, it isnt too bad sitting and typing, but I assume leaning forward to take notes or similar could be worse.

It's tricky. I have a full sized Witness 10mm and a Smartcarry. Heel of the magwell prints a bit, but no more so than my car keys or cell phone.

Best bet is to just find a stall and squat. Or, if you've got good dexterity, hold up your pants with one hand, slightly rotate the whole rig to clear the "danger zone", then "aim and fire" with your other "gun".

I still haven't figured out how to effectively do this in a urinal without everyone else in the men's room having a pretty good idea that there is more firepower in my jeans than the Gods graced me with...

What are they gonna say?

"So I was trying to look at his dick, and he's got a gun."

I'm back in MN now... This place is like a "Democrats Gone Wild" video. I'm surprised they aren't inviting Larry Craig to the next Gay 90's parade through Loring Park.

Yup, just slide it to one side.

I carry the same gun the same way sometimes.  Usually I carry 2 G19s OWB because I wear a suit all day.  You really should use the de-cocking lever and carry half-cocked with the safety on, IMO.

I keep reading how great those things are but I cant see it. First off it seems to me it would be nearly impossible to get it out quickly when needed, would be uncomfortable as hell to sit, and hard to take a piss. Not to mention it looks like you have a boner.

Who knows maybe it isnt all that bad but I dont think I willl ever be buying one.

It's not that bad.  I resisted for a long time, but one day had a need for decent deep cover options, and I ordered one with the expectation that it would suck.  It's not my first choice, but it does work, and it is fairly comfortable.  Do NOT, however, use one with a Glock, because the sharp edge on the ejection port snags on the Smart Carry and you cannot get the gun out with one hand.  The HK with its beveled ejection port works great.

That rules me out.

I would have to try one before buying. I could see where you might need it so you are not printing.

My gf came over and gave me a hug, and still didn't notice it until she had been there a few mins and I asked her if she saw anything.  Even then, I had to slowly turn for her to catch that I had "gained a few overnight"

Also, I know a lot of people use SmartCarry with their Glocks.  I'll try to get a hold of one and see if I can get it to snag.

You are correct. BUT, this holster will let you carry when other options would have you leaving the gun at home.

This is bigger deal than most men realize. If you're a normal guy, you never look at other guy's crotches, but you have NO idea than women do, on a regular basis. Not all women all the time (the way guys look at women's chests), but a lot of women do.

What you think "doesn't print" gets noticed, trust me. As for your GF not noticing, she is too familiar. Hell, my wife wouldn't notice for a day or so if I cut off all my hair!

Does nobody own a file? What happened to the days when people modified their firearms to fit their needs? Is it only 1911 owners that do that (because they have to, not that they want to )

Not to put your purchase or choice down but I never liked the idea of "Smart Carry" where they have the gun pointed at your junk.

[#17]
Everyone should try a smartcarry, if it may be of use to them.

Common misconceptions:

1) The gun is pointed at my junk! Unless you tuck your dong around the muzzle of the gun then back up between your pants and the SC, then no, it doesn't

2) Can't be comfortable to sit down. This varies. If you are fat, sorry, it probably isn't for you. However, it isn't uncomfortable for me or most other average weight users.

3) The draw is so slow. It depends on what you are wearing, but if it's that or being unarmed...

I think the SC is a great choice for college students with permits who just want to pass on the no gun nonsense.

I don't even own one, however I have used one with my G19. Not bad at all.

I have a SC, and use it when I run.  Stays put, totally hidden under running shorts or sweats.  Although I've never jammed a big honkin' HK in it like the OP.  It works with my PM9.

And no, it does not point at my junk.

I don't know why so many people think the Smartcarry points the gun to your junk. It lies over/on top of your junk. It moves to the side when pissing at the urinal. I actually carried mine to the right, over my thigh because it was more comfortable. You will find a sweet spot. I carried a G19, Walther P99 and Para Ord P12 in mine. Not evryday as it's a special occasion holster. For me it worked great when I went to the beach and would take my shirt off. I shot IDPA with a guy who carried a S&W 642 in his and had it out of his pants and on target before those with OWB holsters. I wouldn't choose it for everyday carry but it's a great when in NPE.

I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy one. At best It'll be better than I perceive it to be, at worst it'll end up in the box with the other holsters I don't use.

ETA: Does this require you to wear oversize pants?

For me, it's not an everyday holster.  However, when I wear sweat pants or gym shorts or anything like that, it comes in handy.

It would help to have them on the big side, but definitely doesnt require it.

Not "oversize" pants, if you mean a wider waist. I wrote to the maker and he told me to do this: Put your hand down the front of your trousers. Make a fist and pull it out. If you can get your fist out OK, you can use the SmartCarry! I have one and use it frequently with my XD45, my 1911 and my compact Baby Desert Eagle.

One of the selling points for me was their unconditional 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, send it back and they will refund your money!
