[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Nevada licensing question.

Planning on taking my non resident class in June.

The one thing I'm not fully clear on is the qualification.

If I understand it correctly you must qualify with the handgun you will be carrying. It's not a blanket coverage for say revolver or semi-auto.

Am I correct about this?

Correct. Qualification is for a specific make, model, and caliber combination.

ETA: Washoe County personnel were very easy to deal with.

Kali takes it one step further and requires serial #.

If I remember correctly, the Nevada CCW used to list the serial # on them.

I honestly haven't looked at one in a while.

Let me know what you found out. I go out to vegas on a semi-regular basis as we do some ops out of Nellis AFB. Neither my PA nor my FL licenses are recognized there.
