Picked up a VP9 last summer and like it a lot. Picked up a P30 decocker before Christmas. I have 925 in both. Great used guns. No real signs of being shot much. Really clean on the inside. I had a 229 but it feels thicker than the HKs. P30 and VP9 fit my hands great. Late 80s I had the HK P7. HK is a great company that has had some problems but produces good products. |

If the P30 is too big, try the P30SK (Small Kompact). It's grip & slide are shorter, yet can still have a flush fit 12 + 1, or a 14 + 1 w/ +2 pinky extension, or a 15 + 1. The 15 rounder would keep you a smidgen shorter than a G19. The V3 is a DA/SA, and the V1 model is the LEM version. LEM is Law Enforcement Modification where the trigger pull feels the same everytime. IOW, the LEM trigger pull feels like the SA pull of the DA/SA. My first gun ever was a P30SK. I walked into Top Gun Supply and said I'd like a handgun that I don't have to worry about parts maintenance springs breaking. The owner handed me the P30SK. |
| Currently have several DA/SA to choose from. CZ SP01, Beretta LTT Centurion, Sig-P229(M11-a1) and P228, for the obscure P99. I really like the P99 it’s Glock weight with a DA/SA carries very nicely enough holsters and mags you can find a compliment. If I wanted something easy button I’d say the Centurion it is a very soft shooter with lots aftermarket support plus 50yrs of government magazines means cheap range mags. |

Granted, I have a 30" waist and am a bit of a bean pole, so others may have less of an issue. Looks like the P2000sk is about 0.1" thinner than the P30sk, but they're both considerably wider than my two carry guns. |
