| I saw them at a gunshow before I got my license. It was a small locking box that had a cable attached. Anyone have ideas where to buy? |
Secure-It Handgun Storage There's also a site sponsor who's ad shows up at the top of the screen every so often. They sell the same thing at the same price. I'd keep surfing Arfcom to spend my money with them. |
That would be missouricarry.com www.missouricarry.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=WP |

These may not interest you at all, but www.life-jacket.com/ make both hard plastic and metal units that are very affordable and can be permanently mounted in a car (or about anywhere, FTM), and the owners are very nice to deal with. If you want them for multiple cars/locations, they will provide you with however many you need all keyed alike if you want (that's what I did). They also have units for long guns and one specifically for ARs. My sincere apologies if this is totally outside the realm of your interest. |

Thanks for the plug. We sell the AACFI safe but the only difference is when you spend your money with me, it goes to help promote CCW and RKBA groups in Missouri and elsewhere. We have sold hundreds to customers all over the US. This is a great product for permit holders and for people who travel. It doesn't do any good to have your sidearm locked up when your in the car and an emergency arises. That is NOT what this safe is for. This safe is for the times when you happen to find yourself at a location that does not allow by law a concealed weapon on the premises. EXAMPLE: Airports, Federal Buildings, State Buildings, Hospitals, Schools. Store your firearm in this durable and secure safe and breathe easy that your gun is safe and secure. TWO SIZES AVAILABLE!!!!! Full Size or Compact autos!! Small safe fits all J & K Frame revolvers with up to 2.5 inch barrel and Autos with up to 4 inch barrels. ![]() *Cable secured *Made in USA *Meets TSA Airline regs *Comes with Two Keys *1500 lb test cable Great for your car. Let me know Zachary Bauer My Website For Pictures. |
Zachary, Will the small fit a Glock 30? |

I had to come back to this thread and update/"confess." Even though I posted a link to the LifeJacket units above & those have served me well in the past, I followed the other links above and - after some reading there and elsewhere - I decided that I would probably like the ones above offered by MissouriCarry even better (I like the total-enclosure design & the extra room for a spare mag & maybe a Surefire as well). I have e-mailed them about replacing all of my units at once & they have been very helpful so far. I just thought I should come back to say that y'all convinced me to "upgrade." When I get my new units I'll post again with pics & personal feedback. |
Any secure structure in the car. My guess is most folks will attach it to the seat-base (so it can slide out of sight under the seat when you're out of the car). Understand - this thing is not going to stop a dedicated thief with tools and time. This may, however, stop a quick smash-&-grab from walking away with your car gun and it will, IMO, keep little hands from accessing it when they shouldn't (which is what I bought them for). |
Well, I didn't get a chance to "install" them in the vehicles yet and try them out, but I did check them out well, see what will & won't fit, took some pictures, and wrote up a review - HERE. |

Look at the eletronic box sold by S&W, it kicks as. 4 big bright blue buttons that you have to push in a certain sequence to open and it opens up at 45 degrees and offers you the gun grip 1st along with extra mags etc. Has a key back up. Mounts to wall, counter, trunk etc with backing plates. You have to open the case to remove it but if you buy extra plates you can move it from one location to another in a snap. $150 Best bang for the buck if you ask me. |
