Just took one in a trade. I do a lot of walking and want to know if this thing is going to fall out of my pants when I'm a few miles away from the house.

I had a remora holster (very similar)  and was hesitant at first to do any kind of long walking but found as long as I kept my belt tight or draw string on my bball/gym shorts, it's gtg. Takes a bit of getting used to but they definitely work and are cheap enough to try. I ended up using mine for quick trips to the store or gas station before selling it off along with the gun it was for.
Always remove before reholstering.

I use a remora for my walther pps and s&w 638
No problem all day long in him shorts (wider elastic band)
Anything heavier I would not try

I use one with a Kahr P9 sometimes.  I also do not tighten the belt any tighter than usual.  Holds tight and doesn't move down in the jeans.

I love sticky holsters, they're absolutely awesome for quick trips where you don't want to go through the hassle of belting/holstering up. Just tuck the holster into whatever you've got on, and go. It takes as much effort as putting your phone in your pocket, and really makes you more likely to carry all the time. Would definitely recommend.

ETA: after reading the above, I'd echo many thoughts. To me they really are best suited to lightweight guns and quick convenient holstering. And yes gym shorts are very much doable. With athletic shorts they're very usable with micro .380s up to smaller 9mms depending on body type and shorts/drawstring snugness.

Been carrying my 9mm Shield with Crimson trace  for 3 months now, no problems.  Just place it inside waistband and still usually wear a belt, covers good.  Only issue is reinsertion of pistol can be tricky, but that's the trade off with a soft sided holster.

I find them to be amazingly simple & comfortable,
with great retention.

I typically wear mine for long trips while driving.

They work great until you have to take a leak.

I have several sticks holsters, from one for my Shield up to a full size M&P.
I do recommend them.

What holster would you recommend for when wearing gym shorts?

With gym shorts (or any shots without a belt), take the holster with pistol and tuck it under the "off" armpit until finished, then continue on your way.

I'll be the voice of dissent.

I've tried a few for a variety of guns including a heavy CZ75B to a LCP.  They don't work for me.  Under any circumstances.  I could never get them to stay put.

I successfully did a 4 mile run and weight routine carrying a Glock 22 in a sticky holster to test it. Gym shorts drawstring, no belt. Wouldn't say it worked awesome, but it stayed pretty well put once it settled into a comfortable position and none of my workouts threatened to let the Glock fall free. Sweat didn't seem to have much effect on the Sticky. Sweat did affect my Remora to some degree, though not enough that the weight of a M&P Shield was sufficient to dislodge it.

I did this test in my home gym, but still wouldn't advise carrying like that in public while working out.

My take on the Sticky/Remora holsters (own one of each) is that they're great for throw-and-go convenience and for folks experimenting with new carry positions since they can be placed or canted any which way. Also makes a good holster for pocket or off-body carry. The price also makes it easy to have some around. If possible, though, I prefer something that will anchor to be belt and will retain it's shape with the handgun removed for simpler reholstering.

Hope that helps.

Worked pretty well for me, Normally belt, jeans and tshirt. Didn't have to tighten my belt up more than usual. I even found that I could get it to stay in position on the pant waist when I drop my drawers in the bathroom.

Carried a fullsize M&P9 and S&W Model 10 in one quite frequently.

Walking around all day it stayed put but if you are doing yard work or twisting and turning it'll start to move around.

The only issue I have with mine is when I draw practice/shoot.

They say you're suppose to reholster it out of your pants, for safety I imagine, but that is a major pia to me.

I reholster it while still in place, but its not nearly as easy as with a standard holster.

I have a sticky holster for my LCP. Makes a great pocket holster and I was very surprised how well it works inside the waistband. Try it.

Mine works like a charm. Like others have said it can be tricky to re holster. I have read that if you're sweating and not wearing an undershirt that some movement can happen but undershirts are a must for me so no problem there. plus the price tag is unbeatable.

I have one for my G43 and I like it for quick trips and for putting in a backpack or briefcase, etc.

Haven't ever used it for an all-day carry though.

Just got a blackhawk tecgrip.  Hold my M&P40c while I drive my 4-wheeler around the place pretty well.  Seemed to stay put on a small hike too...all with no belt.  So far this thing is pretty awesome.
